If you have customers running your desktop application on Windows 10 platforms, you can now use the latest Usage Intelligence SDK to track runtime and user engagement on this edition of Windows. Revenera provides Software Analytics and call-home SDKs to support all desktop platforms including Windows XP, Vista, Windows 8, Windows 10 as well as Mac OSX and Linux. The SDK comes in several programming languages with APIs covering native C/C++, .NET, Python and Obj-C.
With the release of Windows 10, Microsoft has changed the mechanism by which the OS versions are reported to the running applications. Therefore if you are already using one of our older SDKs to track your software, Usage Intelligence will still track user events and runtime correctly, however such users will be reported as running Windows 8. Thus, in order to correctly report how many users you have running your application on Windows 10, you will need to upgrade to our SDK version 3.3.2 (or higher) released on 11 August 2015.
All Usage Intelligence SDKs enable software developers to track runtime session information, Feature and Event usage, Exceptions, Architecture and Geo information as well as user loyalty and conversion trends. Apart from serving as a Product Management tool, Usage Intelligence also serves as an in-app marketing tool for desktop applications via its Reachout framework.
