Chicago Tribune Names Flexera a 2018 Top Workplace

Employees Give High Marks for Alignment, Execution and Connection for the 7th Straight Year

Itasca, IL - November 6, 2018 Flexera, the company that’s reimagining how software is bought, sold, managed and secured, has been awarded a 2018 Top Workplace honor by The Chicago Tribune.  The list is based solely on employee feedback gathered through a third-party survey administered by research partner Energage, LLC (formerly WorkplaceDynamics), a leading provider of technology-based employee engagement tools.

Employees completed a confidential survey about workplace culture, and the results were compared to responses from other companies in the third largest U.S. city.  The anonymous survey measured several aspects of culture – including Alignment, Execution and Connection. A numerical value was attached to each statement, creating the overall score.

“Flexera’s culture attracts employees who want to make a difference with technology.  Receiving a Chicago Tribune Top Workplace award for the seventh consecutive year is exciting confirmation that our employees experience what we hope – the freedom to ask questions, do things differently and break boundaries,” said Jim Ryan, President and Chief Executive Officer at Flexera.  “With all of the career choices out there, we’re incredibly proud that employees keep giving Flexera such high marks.”

Flexera has created a workplace built on six values: Candor, Passion, Professionalism, Keeping Score, Celebrating Success and Giving Back.  Flexera is proud to be one of the largest technology companies headquartered in Chicagoland and extremely proud of its Midwestern roots and values.  However, Flexera is also very diverse employing over 1,300 employees around the world.  The approach to customers and employees is working well, with Flexera delivering another record year of top and bottom line growth.

“Top Workplaces is more than just recognition.  Our research shows organizations that earn the award attract better talent, experience lower turnover, and are better equipped to deliver bottom-line results,” said Doug Claffey, CEO of Energage.  “Their leaders prioritize and carefully craft a healthy workplace culture that supports employee engagement.  Becoming a Top Workplace isn’t something organizations can buy.  It’s an achievement organizations have worked for and a distinction that gives them a competitive advantage.  It’s a big deal.”
